KBA-Flexotecnica Unveils New Service Solutions at Print4ALL Convention in Milan
New innovative solutions for presses and products on display
- AR-DataGlass technology enables faster and more reliable remote maintenance and customer support
- Integrated solutions minimizing waste during start-up and production will be unveiled
- Koenig & Bauer booth will be located at 16G, Hall 18
Under its newly-inaugurated Koenig & Bauer nameplate and logo, KBA-Flexotecnica will be proudly displaying and unveiling its new innovative solutions for presses and products at Print4ALL in Milan from May 29-June 1, 2018. Koenig & Bauer can be found at Booth 16G, Hall 18.
Against this backdrop, attendees will be able to learn about the new service collaboration between KBA-Flexotecnica and KBA-Digital & Web Solutions in Würzburg. Many existing service packages – which are already successfully in use in the web offset market – will soon be offered by KBA-Flexotecnica too. Products on display include the use of new augmented reality (AR) technology, which is being incorporated into the firm’s new AR-DataGlass augmented reality data glasses. This new product improves remote maintenance and customer support by bringing the real and virtual world closer together. The AR-DataGlass features a camera, which enables remote maintenance specialists from Koenig & Bauer to see live in real time exactly what service technicians on site are seeing. The technician can be instructed step by step on how to remedy the problem. An online connection using a virtual private network (VPN) offers maximum data security through special hardware encryption. With this broadband solution, Koenig & Bauer remote maintenance experts can access a customers’ press system securely, quickly and inexpensively. The duration of service calls is considerably reduced and communication problems due to poor telephone lines are avoided.
Moreover an array of new integrated solutions aimed at minimizing waste during start-up and production will be unveiled. This includes a unique smart and effective system for automatic print impression active with the idle machine as well as a number of installation engineering improvements carefully thought out to reduce energy consumption.
With these new technical solutions Koenig & Bauer is demonstrating its commitment to develop cutting edge, ergonomic, easy to use and flexible solutions for the market, meeting the growing pressures for efficient and cost effective production with the lowest environmental impact.
