First seminars in the Indian Ocean and on the South Atlantic connect Europe to important African trade shops and printers

Bad Vilbel, 29th November 2016 – The Flexofit GmbH successfully held their first international Flexofit Seminars in Port Louis, Mauritius and Cape Town, South Africa. Both seminars brought together an excellent range of international speakers with a highly interested regional industry expert audience.
Flexofit Mauritius Seminar:
The beautiful Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel in Port Louis was the perfect location for the first Flexofit Mauritius Seminar. Attending where all the big players from the island as well as some traders and industry representatives from South Africa, who enjoyed this opportunity to listen and exchange with the international presenters.
After a warm welcome and introductions by Karla Grey and Hans-Peter Hormann from Flexofit, Johan Bastiaen, Sales Manager Africa from Esko, Belgium presented the newest printing products and the offerings of Esko to the Mauritian market. He highlighted, that packaging is becoming a market vehicle for the brand owners, who are looking for means to add value to the packaging. Bastiaen showed the tools from Esko, which improve the value of packaging, labels, signs and display in an easy way.
Next was graduate engineer Alfred Porr, Area Sales Manager from Renzmann, whose speech about Cleaning and recovery Systems intrigued the expert audience.
This was followed by Siddiqqi Dinah, Director of Toyo Ltd Mauritius and distributor to the Indian Ocean region for many brands, who gave an overview about DuPont’s and Tesa’s latest products and inventions.
Chespa’s very own CEO Marek Siekiera then continued to entertain the audience with his presentation around water-based inks and handed out print samples.
Special guest Brett Pollock, owner of Polyflex South Africa gave an insight into trade shop businesses.
Products, samples and further information on devices and machines from Windmöller & Hölscher and Tesa were shown in the table top exhibition presented by the distributors from the region that surrounded the seminar. The networking around the event was mutually perceived as very valuable.
The feedback on the seminar from the attendees was very positive. “Thanks to Flexofit for taking the time to come to our beautiful island and showcase the international expertise, we learnt a lot. We are looking forward to the next seminar!” a participant said.
Flexofit South Africa Seminar:
Three days after the Flexofit Mauritius seminar the first Flexofit South Africa Seminar in Cape Town was held in the scenic Radisson Blue Waterfront Hotel in Cape Town. Attending were important printers and trade shops owners from all over South Africa. The seminar launched with Karla Grey and Hans-Peter Hormann from Flexofit, followed by a corporate presentation from Marek Siekiera, CEO and Tomasz Maraszek, Sales Manager of Chespa. Alfred Porr, Area Sales Manager from Renzmann held the next demonstration followed by Peter Hargreaves and Johan Bastiaen from Esko. Kevin Tucker from the South African company Antalis gave an overview about DuPont’s products and the portfolio of Tesa.
Again, the seminar was surrounded with table top expositions and very extensive networking.
Hans-Peter Hormann from Flexofit comments: “It was really great to hold these two seminars and experience the growth of the network between the Indian Ocean and the South Atlantic. Feedback from all participants was very positive and we are looking forward to 2107 when we will hold seminars in the region again.”
Following the seminars in Mauritius and South Africa the next Flexofit Seminars will take place in 2017. Preliminary planned are Flexofit Seminars in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya, Senegal, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Mauritius, South Africa and Namibia.
