October 27, 2008, Charlotte, North Carolina — FLXON Technical Sales Manager Joe Almeida recently presented Optimization Strategies for Using New Doctor Blade Technology in Flexography at HARPER Corporations’ 2008 Flexographic Solutions Tour™ held in Rogers, Arkansas on October 14th, 2008.
Mr. Almeida’s presentation discussed new doctor blade materials that enable flexo printers to more precisely meter ink for extended periods on long press runs or on multiple jobs without damaging anilox rolls. In addition, he reviewed a number of key process control techniques that further enhance overall blade performance.
HARPER’S Arkansas Solutions Tour was attended by more than 100 area flexographic printers and industry professionals. Other ink management and process control related topics were discussed. Some of the topics and presenters included, Anilox and Sleeve Technology by Harper Corporation’s Technical Graphics Advisor, Sean Tuefler, Trouble-Shooting High-Speed Presses by Sun Chemical Technical Representative, Moe Remheh, and Anilox Roll Cleaning in Today’s Environment by FlexoWash Representative, Mike Potter.
