Not All Doom and Gloom

December 1, 2008 — Despite the recent global, financial turmoil which has an impact on all businesses, there is still good news around.

For example, market niche and new technology investments are less affected, which is documented by Edale’s recent installations on three continents, with commercial security applications leading the field:

  • 11-colour combination flexographic / digital / converting / finishing press
  • off-line RFID insertion, coating, laminating and converting machines
  • off-line adhesive coating, hot lamination, inspection and converting machines
  • off-line laminations and converting machines for many industrial applications, such as electronic, automotive, etc.
  • printing and adhesive coating for tamper evident labels and tapes
  • press solutions for many scratch-off applications and transactional invoice printing
  • several special machine solutions in the field of holograms

The company’s participation at Drupa 2008, Cartes & IDentification 2008 and other market niche events such as the Self-adhesive Technology seminar in Amsterdam and Security Printing conference are crucial in Edale’s new direction and strategy.

The recently announced move from three Romsey plants into a new, larger, purpose built factory near Southampton airport, in 2009, will enhance production efficiency and competitiveness.
