Jeffersonville, IN, January 31, 2008 — Michael Roberts, C.E.O. and President of Cylicron is pleased to announce the appointment of Phil Pimlott to the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Phil has worked with Cylicron for the past 18 months and brings with him more than 40 years of experience in the Global Gravure industry.
From a cylinder base brokerage firm founded in 1957, Cylicron has grown to become the premier manufacturer of Gravure and Flexographic bases in North America and more recently, Web-offset Plate and Blanket cylinders. Well accustomed to innovation, Phil will continue his work in bringing new opportunities through collaboration with Printers, Press Manufacturers, Engravers and Plate-Makers to support their global needs.
Part of Phil's mission will be to grow this traditional business while simultaneously expanding into specialized products. Cylicron is rapidly acquiring an enviable reputation, supplying specialized manufacturing parts for Conveyor and Logistics industries in addition to precision machined assemblies for Automotive and Steel Processing customers.
To enable this growth, Phil has asked Billy Buckman, a long-serving employee of Cylicron, to join the management team and assume the role of managing these non-traditional production areas. Bily has vast experience in every aspect of production. He possesses an enthusiasm for change and a background in Lean Manufacturing.
