November 2010 — Two isolated amplifier circuits on a single rack-mountable card give converters, printers and nonwovens manufacturers twice the tension measurement reliability for the buck.
Save space. Save installation setup time. Save money. Use the new TwinAmpTM Dual Tension Amplifier to monitor tension accurately from two transducer positions in the web path at the same time.
Each of the two isolated circuits on a TwinAmp can amplify and monitor the tension signals output from two transducer pairs simultaneously, for connection to a PLC, or to drives or controllers.
TwinAmp runs on 115 or 230 Vac or on 24 Vdc. The unit's ultra-stable isolation circuitry uses the innovative noise elimination and anti-drift design of DFE's popular TrueTensionTM single amplifier.
The TwinAmp features: Quik-CalTM push-button zero and calibration for fast repeatable setup, isolated 0-to-10 Vdc and 4-20 mA tension signal outputs, 0-to-1 mA outputs for meters, and a convenient rack-mountable configuration. The TwinAmp operates on 24 Vdc, 115 Vac or 230 Vac.
