After a successful four-month trial, label specialist Webtech Industries has purchased the DuPont™ Cyrel® FAST thermal platemaking system. This brings the number of DuPont Cyrel® FAST installations in India up to seven.
Mr. Amar Chhajed, the managing director of Webtech explained that the focus of Webtech is not platemaking, rather label printing. However, the installation of Cyrel® FAST enables them to handle much of their own platemaking needs and causes a dramatic increase in production as a result. “Now we are in a position to make plates quickly in-house, which in turn has increased our job count per day by nearly 15%,” said Mr. Chhajed. “We will certainly be in a position to up the count even further over a period of time.”
The environmental benefits of Cyrel® FAST offered another reason for Webtech to install Cryel® FAST. “The system has eliminated the solvent washout and drying steps, leaving behind nothing to clean once the plate is on the press,” said Mr. Chhajed.
