March 2010 — DuPont Packaging Graphics takes the next step in advancing flexography with the introduction of the Cyrel® FAST round system, an easy to use hardware and consumable solution that delivers a continuous print flexo sleeve. This innovative system is optimized for precision printing and improved productivity while generating the smallest environmental footprint. Cyrel® FAST round capitalizes on benefits from both Cyrel® FAST thermal plate-making and Cyrel® solvent round technologies.
What does this mean to you?
The thermal technology at the base of this Cyrel® FAST round system allows the sleeves imaging and processing without any need of water or solvents. Compared to other print-form making processing technologies, it reduces dramatically non-renewable energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, matching the sustainability expectations of both converters and print buyers.

DuPont Packaging Graphics will also exhibit Cyrel® DPR and Cyrel® DFQ the top-range plates for solvent and thermal processing.
- Cyrel® DPR is the digital plate of choice for high quality printing across a broad range of packaging segments. DPR has been designed to perform with a wide array of substrates and inks. It could be applicable for flexible packaging, tag & label, folding cartons and beverage cartons.
- Cyrel® DFQ is the high durometer plate that combines the needs of high quality flexo finest halftone, linework and solids, that fits perfectly when imaged and processed on Cyrel® FAST thermal platemaking. The application areas of Cyrel® DFQ are many: flexible packaging, tag & label, envelops, carrier bags, folding cartons, pre-print liner and beverage cartons.
