Postion: Flexographic Operator - Wide Web 10 Color Central Impression

 

 A Global flexible packaging company located north of Philadelphia is seeking experienced flexographic operators.

The flexographic operator will be responsible to produce roll to roll printed material with the highest degree of quality and with minimum scrap.  Trouble shooting, correcting problems, completing QC checks, forms and reports.  The operator is also responsible for directing their support team in preparing for set up and achieving machine output standards.  Perform all functions in accordance with the organization’s safety policies, quality management system and hygiene management standards.

The successful candidate will be required to have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience operating a wide web 10 color flexographic press
  • Experience with solvent based inks and color matching
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to mechanically lift heavy loads in a safe way
  • Experience with automated fully computerized machine controls
  • Working knowledge of various substrates such as aluminum foil, OPP, PET and paper
  • Flexo printing troubleshooting and process improvement
  • SAP experience

Position: Quality Assurance Technician

 

Summary of Position
Conduct tests to determine quality of raw materials and products produced meet required specifications, maintaining all Quality Assurance records and managing all internal quality systems, including SQF.
Role and Responsibilities

  • Investigate and process customer complaints including RMA’s, credits, re-runs, and corrective action letters.
  • Send out follow up requests for updates on complaints out to be addressed.
  • Update customer complaint logs and graphs and data
  • Check thoroughly and sign off on all jobs including WIP during shift
  • Maintain and update Work Instructions and audits
  • Perform job required testing on an as needed basis
  • Perform testing and generate COA’s for customers
  • Investigate, log and process all raw material and internal non-conformances and update graphs
  • Confirm compliance and update logs for all incoming raw materials
  • Generate custom Tech data sheets for customers
  • Perform Non-conformance audits
  • Ensuring Quality and Food Safety procedures are in place. QA Technician assumes role in QA/Ink Dept Manager’s absence.
  • Maintaining SQF audit logs
  • Verification and validation schedule for SQF compliance
  • Other tasks as directed by supervisor.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of food safety
  • Experience in the auditing process

Position: Senior Graphics Technician

 

Spear USA, the world’s leading innovator and supplier of film pressure-sensitive labels and labeling systems is looking for a Senior Graphics Technician for our Clarksville, TN location. The primary purpose of this job is to serve as a graphics production technician to provide complete, properly prepared trapped and stepped files to the engraving department for gravure cylinder engraving. This position also supports all aspects of the graphics department. The Graphics Technician maintains direct and open communication with the Graphics Manager, Engraving Department, and Production Team in regard to the status of all working jobs.

The position reports to the plant Graphics Manager on site.

Essential Functions:

  1. Trapping/separating one up image files
  2. Step and Repeat of digital artwork
  3. Check cylinder proofs
  4. Make independent judgment in graphic assembly of working art files, analyzing needs and requirement to create a final press-ready file.
  5. Communication of changes and expectations relating to art and art system to internal and external customers.
  6. Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and software used within the department.
  7. Able to back up the department manager as needed.
  8. Other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Spear.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum two-year degree in Graphic Communications or related field.
  2. Candidate should possess strong working knowledge of graphic design programs in a MAC environment.
  3. Expert in Esko/AWS, Art-Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  4. Minimum three years’ production experience with Flexo or Gravure presses.
  5. Candidate should be familiar with personal computers and other basic computer skills.
  6. Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, time management and troubleshooting skills, a positive attitude, and be detail oriented.

Position: Cyrel Round Corporate Account Manager

The individual selected for this position is primarily responsible for selling and promoting the Packaging Graphics Cyrel Round offering to customers in the USA and Canada.   This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the flexo graphic printing industry and process and the ability to sell at senior levels of the organization as well as the ability to craft market and customer specific plans to meet aggressive sales and margin goals.   This role is also responsible to interface with our plant to ensure our offering meets the needs of our customers as well as interfacing with key partners such as cushion adapter suppliers and press manufacturers.

  • Develop a plan to meet or exceed deliver an aggressive annual growth objective.
  • Work closely with other Account Managers and the Technical Service Team in the business to drive round sales at existing customers.
  • Develop the knowledge of the NA Sales Team on the round value proposition to support and drive new sales growth.
  • Develop target list and qualify new opportunities to sell round print forms.
  • Work closely with our trade shop partners to support and drive their business.
